Aum Shakti

It is mentioned in Parshuram’s Kalpasutra that this lesson is the one who cures all diseases, increases all wealth and life-health. Reciting this as per your convenience or on Aso Navratri or Pushyamarti, Suryasankranti day, Shukla Paksha, Chaturdashi, Ashtami, Navami or Friday, full moon date, Deepawali or your own birthday gives wonderful results.

Sri Agastya Muni also says that by reciting this Sri Lalitasahasranamam, Sri Maa Lalitamba is pleased and bestows the devotee with a kingdom and pacifies the demons and Navagrahas, even if they are afflicted in the birth chart. One who performs this recitation obtains Lakshmi, sons and grandsons, sacrifices as desired and gets all wishes and all good fortune. Just as a devotee becomes a worshiper of Srividya in the previous birth, similarly a person who recites Lalita Sahasranama also becomes free from devotion. Thus, Lord Hayagriva tells sage Agastya that-

Mantraraja Japeshchaiva Chakrarajacharan tatha

Rahasyanam Pathash Nalapsya Tapasrupalam.

Meaning – Chanting Kadi Mantra, chanting Shri Chakra and reciting Shri Lalitasahasranam is indescribable.

Pujya Guruji always used to tell us that to get the love of Sri Tripuramba, we should recite Lalita Sahasranama Stotra. Therefore, SVFT members have been collectively chanting Shri Lalita Sahasranama every month on full moon day as per Guruji’s order for a long time. Beloved of Guruji and respected by the trust, Late Shri Bhagwatbhai also insisted throughout his life that this lesson should always be done in trust. But this mass lesson had to be canceled at the time of Corona. But now due to the convenience of time and the desire of many members, the trust is again ready to start mass recitation of Shri Lalitha Sahasranama. So, thank you for your cooperation in this.

Importance of Lalita Sahasra Nama Patha

यथामधुये पुष्पैभ्यौ, धृतं दुग्धाद रसात्पयः ।
एवं हि सर्व तंत्रानां श्रीविद्या सार मुच्यते ।।

Like the essence of flowers is honey. The essence of milk is also ghee. Just as the essence of all other juices is milk, so the essence of all tantra is Sri Vidya. Therefore, the sages of the Upanishads have given the message to the world that Sa Vidya ya Vimuchyate. (That is the knowledge, that is liberated.)

Lalitasahasranama is a part of the Brahmanda Purana. In the Brahmanda Purana, they are called Lalitopakhyana. Lalitasahasranama is originally published from many places. Sir John Woodruff Wilson mentions it in many places in Tantric works. It is defined in Sanskrit by the great scholar and seeker Bhaskararayana as Saubhagyabhaskar. He is credited with making this hymn extremely popular. His initiate name is Bhasuranandanath.

Sriyantra and Srividya are mentioned several times in the previous part of Lalita Sahasranama, Namavali and Phala Shruti. The recitation of Lalita Sahasranama also emphasizes the worship of Sri Yantra and Sri Vidya. There is no doubt that this is the major hymn of Sri Vidya worship. It is mentioned in the previous part and in many verses of the Phal-Sruti. Most of the names of Sridevi in the list are the names of the goddess and founder of Chakra-raja. The chakras in the body and the process of Kundalini awakening are also described by subtle signs. It is also clear that the practice of Sri Vidya and Sri Yantra is necessary for Lalitasahasranama and that right is obtained by initiation.

Tantra is considered to be the discipline of cultivation. This sadhana is a confluence of tantra-mantra and yantra. Mahavidya is considered to be paramount in Tantra Sadhana. There are ten differences of Mahavidya, that is, there are ten forms of the primordial power or ten great powers. on the basis of which they are worshipped.

The cultivation of Sri Tripurasundari is called Sri Vidya. Sri Tripurabhairavi and Kamakalatmika are also mostly associated with Srividya. Sri Tripurasundari is also called Shodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Rajarajeshwari, Srividya and Lalita. There is not much difference between Kamakalatmika and Kamala (Lakshmi). Sri Vidya brings both enjoyment and salvation.

There are a thousand names of the primordial power Maa Tripurasundari. The first name in which is Mrs. They are also called Maharajni and they consider Mahakaleshwar as their master. In the Lalitasahasranamam, she is called Shivasanthakyarupini before her last name Lalitambika. It is also called Parbhattarika. They are also called Vidya, Mahavidya and Paramavidya in the scriptures.

Thus, instead of calling the Lalitasahasranama Stotra merely a Stotra, it is called a Stotra Mala Mantra. In Mantra Shastra, a mantra with more than thirty-two letters is called a Mala Mantra and thus Lalita Sahasranama is not only a thousand names of the Mother but a mantra made up of the entire thousand names. Tantra worship which includes the instruments, various limbs, mantras, stotras, shields, hearts and thousands of names of those gods and goddesses. The special importance of Devi Stotra in Tantra Sadhana has been mentioned. Also, according to the scriptures, Shakti and Ganesha become fruitful quickly in Kali Yuga. There are thousands of names of many gods and goddesses. The Lalita Sahasranama is also of great importance in this, as it not only praises Lalita Tripurasundari but also worships Sri Chakra, the Sri Yantra. At the same time, it unveils the power of Kundalini. Therefore, this stotra is like a crown jewel in Tantra Shastra.

When Lalitasahasranama is used in Sriyantra worship rituals, it becomes the giver of inexhaustible wealth. So this Sahasra Naam is not just a collection of names but something special. Acquisition of money or property is the most important question for every person today. Even if the Sriyantra is not worshiped properly, if one of the same Lalita Sahasranama names is worshiped with unbroken flowers on the Sriyantra, one can achieve a lot. Even if we consider this Lalita Sahasranama to mean Sri Vidya, it is not inappropriate.

Lalitasahasranama and Srividya give great importance to the Guru. The place of the Guru is considered to be paramount not only in Tantra but in the entire spiritual knowledge. Guru has been a prestigious name in the society in some form or another since time immemorial. The position of Guru has been going on since Vedic times. The following verses have a very important place in Guru worship.

In the above verse it becomes clear that the Guru is the one who guides the power in this moving world of the unbroken sphere that guides the power pervading the world. Without the medium of the Guru, knowledge cannot be attained and the ignorance of ignorance cannot be removed. One cannot enter into spirituality without removing ignorance. To follow any path, be it Mantra or Bhakti, Dvaita or Advaita, but ignorance has to be removed and this work can be done by none other than the Guru.

Knowledge and ignorance, good and evil, both tendencies are similar in their differences, but only the Guru is capable of showing the direction. Success is possible only under the guidance of the seeker Guru. For that he must have faith and belief in the Guru. It is through the Guru that the mantra is accomplished and he has the power to germinate the seed in the heart of the seeker.

Merely reading the scriptures and chanting the mantras indicated in them cannot bring fruits. It lacks both mantra power and penance. Mantras and recitations not received from the Guru’s mouth are a waste of time and energy. This is the essence of mantra sadhana that mantras impart power only when received from the Guru, because the Guru is the source of the power of the mantras. The Guru is the one who infuses the power in the mantra and gives it to the disciple.

A person who chants Lalita Sahasranama on the full moon day will be protected from diseases and longevity will be ensured. Chanting this stotra helps the reader to remove the side effects caused by the change of planets. For the happiness of children, one should chant these 1000 names in a special ritual and offer butter to the goddess.

SVFT is working in this service under the inspiration of Param Pujya Guruji Shri Laxmikant Purohitji, the founder of Shri Vidya Foundation Trust. Men and women who recite Lalita Sahasranama in front of Sriyantra attain the divine power of Maa Tripuramba.
